This course provides families with 2 hours of training for domestic adoption. The objective of this course is to provide families with information about adopting a child domestically through an open adoption. This course describes the history of open adoption and what an open adoption is and is not. The information in this course provides education on the benefits of open adoption for all parties involved, and provides insight on the experience of the birth mother, adoptive family, and adopted child. Upon review of this course, families will complete a brief Q and A in order to receive a course completion certificate.
